Wade Jones of Belmont has become an international celebrity, following two successful eBay auctions related to his
27-year-old styrofoam cup used by Elvis Presley. First Jones auctioned off the water from the cup on eBay for $455, then he auctioned off a "viewing" of the cup itself, which snack food company Nutballz⢠purchased for a January 25 fundraising dinner. The dinner will raise money for the Center for Celiac Research, a division of the University of Maryland that is dedicated to research, awareness, consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of celiac disease. Researchers say they have not yet determined if there's a correlation between celiac disease and styrofoam viewing.

This is an interesting site you've started. I live on the west end of Charlotte and go to Gastonia a lot to shop. It's just as close and with less traffic than most of the places I would go in Charlotte. As soon as spring rolls around I plan to finally go and climb Crowder's Mountain, which I notice you have a link to. I've lived in Charlotte my whole life and have never climbed it before. Last summer I made my first trip to Hawaii and climbed Diamond Head Crater and it will be interesting to compare the two. I even created a photo blog about Diamond Head(craterclimber.blogspot.com), but I'm still trying to decide what type of real blog I would like to do.
Anyway, iteresting blog, keep up the good work, and I'll keep checking it out off and on.
